Ginger Citrus Tea with Piloncillo Syrup

Ingredients for Piloncillo Syrup:

Ingredients for Tea:

  • 2 cups hot water
  • 2 Tadin Ginger Blend Tea Bags
  • 1–2 tablespoons piloncillo syrup
  • Juice from ½ orange (about 3 tablespoons)
  • 1 lemon slice
  • ½-inch piece peeled ginger
  • 2-inch piece fresh orange peel

Instructions:

  1. Make Piloncillo Syrup: Combine syrup ingredients in a small saucepan over medium heat. Stir until piloncillo dissolves (about 8 minutes). Remove from heat and let cool. Strain out cinnamon, star anise, orange peel, and ginger.
  2. Steep Tea: Steep Tadin Ginger Blend Tea Bags in 2 cups of hot water for 7 minutes.
  3. Assemble Tea: Combine piloncillo syrup and orange juice in a teacup, then fill with steeped tea. Add lemon slice, piece of ginger, and orange peel. Twist the orange peel over the tea to release its oil before adding it to the cup.
  4. Sip and enjoy your reset moment!
